Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A chopper soaring over a crowded southern California beach suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Footage posted on the internet depict the chopper commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then descending in the direction of the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
Local firefighters said five people were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.

The department indicated the chopper was associated with an annual “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion planned for the next day.
